Look up a brief definition. I know there are more words. You only have to memorize the 15 basic words on the list. However, the challenge words are good to be familiar with. You never know when one of them might pop up as a bonus on a test. (HINT)

alsalamu alaykum, I am sorry but can you please tell me the definitions of (standard time zone) and (time meridian)…………..
((((Are yo going to come tomorrow?))))
Thank You,
Jazaki Allah Khairan.
Wa alaykom asalam. No, I have an appointment tomorrow. But I should be there on Tuesday, inshaAllah. I am familiar with standard time zones, but not time meridian. Are you sure it’s not prime meridian? That’s what I think you mean.
Standard time zone:
The local mean solar time at any location depends on where that place is on the globe: it advances by four minutes for each degree longitude to the east. To avoid confusion, most nations keep what is called standard time in established zones known as time zones. The world is divided into 24 time zones. The width of each is about 15 degrees longitude.
Prime meridian:
The prime meridian is the line of 0 longitude, the starting point for measuring distance both east and west around the Earth.
The prime meridian is arbitrary, meaning it could be chosen to be anywhere. Any line of longitude (a meridian) can serve as the 0 longitude line. However, there is an international agreement that the meridian that runs through Greenwich, England, is considered the official prime meridian.
